Presidential Unit Citation
Awarded to the 158th Aviation Battalion for Lam Son 719 Note: In the unofficial opinion of several who visited about this in Omaha, the prestigious PUC award represents the culmination of three years of extraordinary operations by the Phoenix—including all who flew in the A Shau Valley in 1969, at Ripcord in 1970, and in Laos during Lam Son 719. Those of us in the latter group were simply the closers for all who came before ... well done brothers!
